HUGE thanks to Laura (editor of Askew Magazine and who also writes her own blog and you should definitely check out both and I don't care if they've only released one issue so far because they have been by far the easiest promotion/publication people I have ever done business with in any capacity no kidding seriously the staff gives me presents) for tweaking the design of this thing!
Hopefully this will make for a little more cohesion with my 'personality' and art direction/vision within Chemical Pictures. New Japanese Mom Michika from Vanilla Edge is working on my Japanese blog in a similar vein, and I'm really pleased that both she and Laura have a pretty darn good idea of what I'm trying to go for, even as I keep giving contradictory and conflicting ideas.

This is very steam punky.
Yep! I'm going for that without really going for it, I guess; as in, I'm not gonna start putting dirty bronze plates on my DS or steam-powering my motorbike. :-P
Looks great '-'v
this design is sick! :D
(in a good way)
Looks hot!
Could you perhaps talk a bit about the "contradictory" design concepts involved in the design of both of these blogs? I'm very curious. Or is it just "steampunk"?
Yay! It looks neat!
Lookin' good, the only thing that doesn't work is the Elec logo at the top right.
Since CP have a couple shows coming up, it might be worth while to add a calendar of events. The easiest way to go about this seems to be creating a public calendar on your Google account and insert the calendar on the right navigation. This way we can track your activities without having you make a mini-post every time (unless you want to) and having to dig for them when it is not on the home page.
Here's the Google calendar page: https://www.google.com/calendar/
Here's the how to embed info:
